|BuzzLOL||. Actually, the Two Lane car had an L88 427" engine... called a 454" in the movie... last shortened TV versions leave that out... they make 560 HP stock (publically rated 430 HP)... prolly close to 600 HP the way it was setup with dual quad tunnel ram in the movie...|

Ahhhh Guys? "Paradise Road" from American Graffiti" was actually Frates Road located just outside Petaluma , Ca.
Ahhhh maybe I shouldn't tell you this also but The film wasn't shot in Modesto either. It was shot in Petaluma also. Lucas grew up in Modesto but they wanted too much money . It was next going to be shot in San Rafael, CA. but they would only give them permission for two day of shooting. Petaluma took the money.
Oh yeah! Did you know that harrison Fords 55 Chevy (454 cid) was also used as the car in "Two Lane Blacktop"?

. Are you sure the rollover car had a roll cage? I just figured they ran the main car off the edge of the road, switched to the yellow coupe, then switched back to a remote controlled car with no driver and flipped it over and over... it didn't land upside down, so they unlocked the trunk lid and flipped it on its back to burn it... magically, the car that bursts totally into flames at 1:53 doesn't have reversed rear wheels and it sprouts a tailpipe behind the driver's side rear wheel... talk about "trivia"... LOL!

American Graffiti, the first movie I ever bought on VHS, and the first on DVD. The Phahrohs Merc was the car that got me into this trade, that movie means a lot to me. I have an autographed script and photos of all the stars autographed.

. Is that chrome reverse wheels I see on that thing? At least on the back... maybe only silver paint...
. The car they roll over has no straight axle/radius rods in front, automatic transmission, very rusty underneath, full inner bracing on trunk lid, iron exhaust manifolds with short duals, and glasspacks... may also have an exhaust crossover pipe...?

Try removing the door glass.

|BuzzLOL||. I'm doing some re-roofing starting Monday morning... but won't need C-4 to remove the remaining roofing... I've driven hundreds of Chevy Volts... but never got close enough to anything to remove a door handle...|

[quote=Joe G;3115218]I'm fresh out of C4, so I'd start with a 10# Morgan Nokker.
One should never be without a good supply of C-4. You never know when you won't be able to get the lid of a new bottle of Gerkins!
(Also good for ridding Wasps nests under the soffits and getting your Spring re-roofing project started.)

|Dave57210||I thought you just used a 3 foot crowbar to take the door handle off. Rear bumper is easy - a 4X4 disease-el pickup and a big chain, after tying the car down to something big.|
