LATECH Gary1 those crimp style clamps are called Oetecher clamps after the designer of course....
The line itself...what i have done in the past that works fairly well is to use an anvil from the double flare kit, you know the 2 piece bar looking thing that hold the metal tube, and I clamp the plastic in that, keeping short, putting the fitting in a vise, giving a good handle for the plastic that allows me to grunt that baby on there. Sometimes I heat the metal barb fitting a tad (not too much) to help soften the tubing as it slides on.

1Gary It sure does take some grunt to get them into the plastic lines. There is a tool that makes alittle easier, buy not by much. What I hate about the plastic line fuel system is the crimp hose clamps.I don't trust them and doubled them up on every splice.

53 Chevy thats perfect, I was looking at $200 kits and I thought there had to be a better way.I would think that My local parts store would have ends for the fuel filter. Thanks

LATECH You can get these . They are compression fitting on one end and hose barb on the other. The plastic line will shove on the barb (takes some grunt) . I use them on EFI all the time.
As long as you have the short metal lines for the Throttle body, you can put them on the line after cutting the one end off.
I have used these and other styles of hose barbs on EFI systems along with the nylon line. It works very well.
Be ure to route your lines safely away from exhaust heat and moving parts.

plastic fuel line ?

What are you guys using for fuel line on a TBI. I was hoping to run all plastic fuel line. I was wondering if there was a kit or anything out there to convert old hose clamp style ends on my fuel tank and the GM threaded lines on the back of the TBI to plastic clip on lines?
