Welcome to Hot Rooders...I see this is your first post. Do you already have the tilt front end? If you do, are there any questions in particular that you we can help you out with? I haven't done a tilt front end on an S 10 but, have done several tilt or flip front ends and I'm sure there are a number of guys here that could lend a hand when it comes to installation or other questions that may come up.

no i dont have the front end yet. my stock is in really good shape but i think a full tilt front would be very cool feature on this bad beast. im not sure who has the product. i can either use my factory steel fenders and all that or im not opposed to a full fiberglass either. depends on the cost i guess.

Sorry about that, I was just lending a hand to a guy with a pint question and he has an S10.

In the early 90's a good friend of mine built a 1985 Chevy C10 with a tilt front end, Lambo doors and a box that not only tilted back and forth like a dump box, it tilted side to side as well (No clue how he did that). He even turned the windshield washer pump into a whiskey dispenser and when you open the glove box, it turned into a mini bar. This was a show vehicle only but, it was cool.

That sounds great, are you planning on running at the track at all? That much power it's all most a waste if you don't try it at least once...or more times, seeing your there already.

I remember asking my friend what would happen if he got caught out on the road and needed his windshield washer to clean his windshield? He told me that the truck would never be out in that kind of weather and if it was, he would pull over, wait for help and have a drink. If memory serves me correctly, this show stopper ran a fairly stout 454 that ran either mid or low 12's the one time he did take it to the strip. That was respectable considering that nothing had been done to reduce the weight on the truck.

Have you got pics of your truck? Sounds awesome.

oh i will run it at the track to try it out for sure. it should run mid 10 without too much problem, traction will be the issue. ive got the new mickey radials on it, gear is only 3:55 and convertor is 2500. i dont need much gear, it makes 980 lbs torque at 4400 with onpy 7.5 lbs boost. Shafiroff built motor. i will put some pics once i figure out how the hell to do that! lol.

If your running 1100 HP and all that torque...10's should be well within the realm of doable...LOL. Sometimes with all that power it's hard to get it to hook. No matter what happens, they are a blast.

I've been trying to figure out how to put up pictures for the last 6 Months and I have no idea how I got the picture of bolt cutters, if you figure it out, let me know, mind you, others have tried....LOL

lol, my whole goal was to be able to do highway speed limit and smoke em' till i had enough balls to hold er' down. i kinda got carried away on this one, oh well. hopefully have it running in few weeks, complete in about 3 months i hope. i have another car i run at dragstrip so this is my show and go truck. when complete i really wanna hit car shows down south and eventually hot rod power tour or something. i got no problem driving this on sunny days. no trailer queens for me!

I love the driver's...I know a lot of people don't care for the trailer Queen's. I don't know, I like to look at them, they give me ideas for something that I might want to put into practical use. I respect the build ingenuity on so many of them...for me I like to drive them...That being said, I do have an old AMC that I don't drive nearly as often as I would like to...just because of it being rare and they're only original once.

Old Fool, I fully understand...that is back in the day when it was perfectly fine and almost mandatory to go outside the law and have a wobbly pop while you where driving...or even just parked at the A & W. How times have changed...this one, no doubt for the better...I remember telling a police officer that asked why I was driving in the condition I was in that, "I was to drunk to walk".
