hotrod454 what are part number/s that you have because i read somewhere there different ones for each side of block with victor reins and i hear the victor reins are used with a bigger bore block 502 ect...mine is std.also u have used felpro 1037 with no problem and just want to know why u prefer victor gaskets

BOBCRMAN@aol.com I have used either on late BBC short blocks. I use ProComp aluminum heads which are designed like early BBC.. I prefer the Victor-Reinz. They stick to block surface well. I have never had a leak or failure with either gaskets. Victors are just a pain to clean off, if service is needed..

95 454 with older aluminum head

i have a 95 454 rebuilt studded head bolts and crank, stock rods stock piston std. bore, 077 aluminum heads, .595 .621 solid lift cam......? is what is the best head gaskets to use for this application. some say felpro 1037 and some say victor reins. who has done this and had great success,with what gaskets?
