First daytime show for a local restaurant!
We have a place that does a cruise/show every 1-4 weeks... YEAR ROUND! Now that the summer heat is gone, they moved it back to daytime for this event.
I was a little disappointed as they had a smaller than normal turnout... but I checked the local event listings, and there were four other shows in town on Saturday!
I did take a few pics of the more unusual stuff to share.
The little black roadster pickup is "available"... the Imperial is a 1961... the black bug would go nicely with your body piercings... and you don't need to say anything about a '55! :-)

I went to the Sonic Cruise In tonight and had a good time but the numbers were down. Evidently the others knew the bottom was going to fall out of the sky. I found out tonight why very few roadsters were sold in 1936. Window cranks would have been wonderful.
You do realize your posting this pic was a big influence on me to start looking at '66 Chevelles again, resulting in the newest acquisition...

What a perfect night. It got up into the low 80's today There was a great turn out at the Sonic for the last cruise before daylight savings time goes away. it was just one of those nights when you could tell everyone was just glad to be out and have a chance to hang out together.
One of the neat things about the Sonic is everyone mingles and visits. You don't see a bunch of people sitting in front of their cars or trying to feed their egos. Just hangin around enjoying the conversation.
It was a good night.

My first car at 15 was a '49 Morris Minor with a 37 Ford Av8-60. Good memories.

More Tucson Vets show.
This batch includes a pro street Challenger with wheelie bars.
That mysterious fastback sedan is a late-thirties Lincoln!
The black roadster pickup belongs to a friend, and it is looking for a new home. :-)
Lastly, the Challenger featured a big-block wedge with tunnel ram!
A nice show!

The VA put on a show here in Tucson Saturday.
Here are some pictures...
The unusual trailer had a matching "kiddie car".
The Morris Minor pickup had a small-block Chevy and some BIG tires!
The Camino was big-block powered!
The girl selling food with an inflatable pretzel was a little salty. :-)
The '65 Skylark had a full cage and a 500 Caddy motor!
More to come......
