Yea, I googled the 116's and they have a 1.75 dia. head pipe. These are circle track headers and I'm afraid you are going to kill off your lowend when you stick them on a stock 350. 1 1/2 or MAX 1 5/8 tube diameter is what you need.
Sell these things and get the correct sized header for your 350.
And 2 1/4 inch pipes are big enough for your set up.

If you have 3 1/2 inch collectors??? what size are the primary tubes?
If the engine has the correct headers and make decent power then throw away the 2 1/4 exhaust system.
If the headers are for a big power engine and has big tubes and the engine is stock, then dont use the headers

Just looked at a similar setup today. Use 3 1/2" reducers from header to 2 1/4" e-pipe and cutouts at the junction of reducer and e-pipe. Same size as e-pipe, grafted to and angled out from pipe towards rear. About three inches, with a simple three bolt cap.
Was a very clean looking install on this (Nova)car.

header installation help
I got a good deal on a set of schoenfeld headers pt #116 for my 1971 nova ss 350. right now there is a very nice dual exhaust system on the car that the previous owner installed, but the car still has the stock manifolds on it. so my question is, the exhaust pipe is 2 1/4" diameter, and my header collector is 3 1/2" diameter. now also I would like to install a plain old exhaust cutout too. so, what would be the best way to go about installing the headers with the 3 1/2" dia. collector to the 2 1/4 exhaust pipe with the cutout? and what size cutout do I need?
