bigdog7373 Its rwd. I just put two matching tires on it so i'm good now. The smaller looks like it was skipping to keep up with the larger one cause it's way more worn out. Good thing i changed them, the belts were starting to show

75gmck25 You didn't say what type of vehicle, which could make a significant difference. If its FWD the rear wheels are just along for the ride and there is no real stress. If its RWD you might have some differential components working harder to compensate for the .2" difference. However, it will take a long time for it to cause enough stress to get worried about.

Put the tire replacement on your list of fixes, but its not something that has to be done ASAP unless you have ABS brake sensors or traction control that would be affected and cause a safety issue.

Mixed tire sizes?

I have a half worn 195-60-15 on the left and a little less than half worn 185-65-15 on the right side of my back axle. It was like this when i got the car and it drives fine. But i just want to make sure its cool to leave it alone. I looked up the diameters of each and they are .2” difference if diameter is both were new. Thanks in advance.
