jalopy45 Try going to Hemmings Motor New, you may be able to find original pieces, also look at Kanters. American Motors used parts from several of the Big 3 manufacturers over the years so you may also be able to source parts through a Hollanders Interchange book.

updating to power steering & brakes

I have a 1965 AMC Rambler that I am rebuilding (stock outside;350 Chevy-auto inside). The car now has manual brakes & steering and I want to make them power. I know both were available from the factory, but finding them has been impossible. Is there any other way to accomplish what I want to do? As a last resort maybe a Mustang ll subframe, but I'd prefer just to deal with a different steering box & pump and hopefully different spindles that would adapt to the control arms. Any ideas or maybe someone out there has the original parts I need they are willing to sell. Thanks; Stan
