|adtkart||Must need the bottom of my glasses to see that. Actually, I looked in the book to see if they showed it. The picture that they have actually has no detail that helps for assembly that I can see, specially since I am using their spindles and axle. They don't use the clips like are used on u-joints. Thanks anyway.|

|adtkart||Thanks Willys. I figured you'd know. That was basically what I was thinking after I posted. Just hoped someone that knew for sure would set me straight. I am used to having things that I don't know where they are, but not having things and not knowing where they go.|

|email@example.com||You guessed right about all the parts you mentioned. The felt ring is slipped on the king pin before you install it and ends up just under the head of the pin and acts as a grease retainer/dust seal.|

Just guessing, as I have never built that type of front end. I think the felt washer is a grease seal, so all the grease doesn't run out. About the holes, if both of them go through to the king pins, I would put grease nipples in both of them. The better the lubrication, the better.
Like I said, just guessing....will probably be proven wrong.

I have a 4" dropped axle set-up from Speedway. I ordered the spindles and king-pins from them also. The question I have is on the assembly, since they came with no instructions. In the king pin set, there are 2 felt washers and metal "cap like washers". I understand that the bearing goes on the bottom of the axle between the spindle and axle. There are a couple of thin shims that came with it, and I am guessing that they are for on the top of the axle/spindle area for fit. Where does the felt piece go? The spindles have 2 tapped holes in the top and bottom where the king pin goes thru. One appears to be for a grease fitting and the other for a set screw. Does that set screw just plug that hole, and not get tightened down on the king pin? There is a set screw on the axle that, I think, holds the king pin in place.
Am I doing this right?
