Any one know what the normal "no load" current draw should be on a 97 Pontiac transport? I have found a 400ma total draw on the battery. I have isolated 350ma to the rear suspenchion ride controler/relay. I would not think this is normal. Any one have any experience with this system?
Or can you point me to where I could find out this info?
Don't know the normal draw but remember if you have a clock on the radio that will draw as well as the cars computer system and any other goodies the car has. 400 ma seems kinda high though. I guess it would really depend on how electrified the car is. Leave your meter hooked up and start pulling fuses, if you see a sudden decrease that is the circuit to check out.
Why are you asking battery going flat after a few days?
I did find the problem to be the ride controler/relay was bad. Replaced the relay and my normal draw now is 30mA and the battery now last all week with no problems.
