DoubleVision your best bet is just to swap the guts, that`s what I did since I wanted a posi in my Cutlass, I swapped the carrier and gears over from a 83 firebird rear. after you install it, you`ll have to get Limited Slip Differential additive from GM, without it, it`ll pop like crazy, it cost about 11 bucks for a 8 ounce bottle and mixes in with regular gear lube. the other stuff in auto parts stores don`t work, been there, done that.

Jared If there both gm 10 bolts or at least matching you should be able to. You will need to shim it in order to make the gears line up. Good luck

85 regal
changing differentials

i bought a 373 posi disc bread out of an 87 camaro . i was hoping to put it in my 85 regal but it is too long . what i was wondering is if i could just change the ring and pinoin anyones 2cents would be great thanks
