Will's41 I too had both. If the motor is mostly stock both out of the box will perform nearly the same. However I feel the Holly is easier to adjust when fine tuning, just my 2 cents....

figure8 I have a 350HO crate motor with an Edelbrock 600 elect. choke. I also have a 406 with a 750 Holley, also elec. choke. Both are real cold blooded, The Holley far worse, but both run fine when warmed up. I dont have any exhaust heat to the carb on either motor. I think the Edelbrock is a bit less tempormental, but the holley probably is better for performance. I am going to try a quadrajet next time. Phil

Which is better, a Edelbrock or Holly

Im sure this topic can be run for hours on end at the bar room table, ive already had a Edelbrock on my engine once, i chose the Edelbrock becouse of clearnce for the manifold vac port on the manifod for a SBC, i had bad experinces with it

for my new Engine i know i need a 600/650 for it
and i was planing on buying a 600 Holly vac secondaries elec choke, after talking to a few peaple around town im starting to second guess the idea of buying it, i was just wondering some opnions, this will be an everyday driver engine
