just wondering if any one has a weld pack 100Hd. I'm thinking on buying one. I just want it for messing around in my garage, doing a bit of welding on a trailer. Nothing heavy duty. I don't really want to spend a G note on a welder I may use 2 or 3 times a year. I'm restoring an oldie, may do a bit of welding on that. Any suggestions with out breaking the bank!
i just bought a HOBART 125 HANDLER FROM northern tool for 299.00 it seems to be a nice small mig that you can use flux core wire or convert to gas for about 70 bucks. i'm a welder and use miller, but they are very high for a hobby/ 2 or 3 time a year use. but miller bought hobart , so the miller stuff fits the hobart hopefully with the same miller quality. good luck with your welder buy. just my .02 jeff
Not sure where I can purchase a Hobart but I'll try to find out. The snowy north is limited to products and the price is outrageous for a unit for hobby use. The weld pack is 499.99cdn plus the government 15% starts to get expensive for 2 or 3 times a year.
thanks for the info but I ended up buying a millermatic 135. Little more money than I wanted to spend but everyone seems to suggest miller, hobart or lincoln. If I dont use it enough to justify the price I'll sell it.
