Make sure it's mandrel bent, and if it's a trusted name (flomaster, borla, summit, etc.), it should work well.
I have a '93 Saturn SC2 (the SOHC Saturns are great for grocery runs but not much else) and the stock exhaust is a peashooter pipe as I call it, and would it be better to go 2 inch, 2.25 inch, or 2.5 inch exhaust? I don't want a coffee can exhaust if you're wondering.

The better brands will use better components. They will usually be aluminized and use mandrel bending. It looks much better, and the madrel bends help performance. If it is a daily driven beater go cheap. If it is something you want to keep and you are spending alot on the rest of the car, dont cheap out on the exhaust.
I would buy the mufflers and have an exhaust shop fab up aluminized pipes. I had mine done in 3 inch duals for $150 installed, but I supplied the mufflers and turndowns.

Roys63 is right.. The exhaust shop is your best bet unless of course you have a full service lift at home. Cralling on your back and aligning the exhaust correctly is a pain without a lift. So have it made and installed by a shop.

I am trying to find a exhaust system for my car. I orginally wanted a flowmaster exhaust but when I looked into it they were extremely expensive. I looked at a J.C. Whitney catalog and found a full exhaust for half the price. does the name really matter. also where is a good place to find a exhaust system for a 79 camaro 305. i tried summit but they don't have it and it has to be mailed to me.
