i have a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am 10th anniversary edition. with an original 403 6.6L big block. the engine needs to be rebuilt and i was just wondering what brand of rebuild kit i should go with.
thanks
I recently built a 455 ram IV for a friend. We had not a single part, ended up buying everything from PAW {Parts automotive wharehouse} out of Calf. Was very happy with there machine work, parts, service. 455 .030 over was not easy to find. At work right now but If interested I can bring in my book tommorow with the phone number.
You might try Summitracing.com as well they have great quality rebuild kits as well as many other go fast goodies! <img src="graemlins/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="[mwink]" />
There is also Jegs. But for the heck of it, try calling Jim at Jim Butler Performance in Tenn. My opinion, there isn't anyone else out there that knows more about Pontiacs than Jim. Super nice guy, and he will spend time on the phone with you to get you started.
