383 stroker assembly/variant to their suggestions

The rotating assembly that they used in this build (www site below), is what i have ordered. Im not looking to do any racing
with the vehicle im putting it in, other than stomping it to go around the hundreds of mini-vans in the left lane. I got it for the low end grunt...
Now i have questions
Based on the expansive knowledge i've read in this site, I would like to alter their build only slightly for longevity, and possibly more torque, but without much more investment.
What i've read is that it would be wise to use roller rockers, roller cam and solid lifters!
(1). Is their selection of cam/lifter combination optimum?
And I was leaning towards the vortec heads they mention, But as i haven't bought the heads as of yet, Are they on the right track for those also, Im not against changing heads to accomadate a change of cam/lifter configeration.
I also am having a stock fourbolt main/2pc rear seal 350 shipped at this time too.
This will be my first real build, so be gentle...
The vehicle is a 1951 chev sedan deliveryw/upgraded 700r4 trans and 3:73 rearend
Any suggestions you have i thank ya now and would love to discuss em, Im open to the machining of the block suggestions, im wanting to do this right, by not throwing money at... but knowledge gathered...
