Barry im planning on painting my 62 sunliner with rm uno-hd single stage white. Id like to use the spi undercoat system . the car has been stripped but not sanded yet ( Waiting to hear from you). I will sand w/ 80 grit on a mudhog the use spi gray epoxy primer. Which 2k primer surfacer should i use? Turbo or the other one?Being that the car is down to bm is a sealer really neccessary?Ive heard epoxy used as a sealer negatively affects doi.I will apply 3 coat ss uno hd wait a few days wet sand w/ 800 grit then apply 3 more coats mixed 50/50 with spi clear .Which clear should i use .?I will also be following THE PERFECT PAINT JOB TO THE LETTER. Hey if Keith Ferguson and jim from extreme creations reccomends SPI im a believer. This will be my 5th paint job so im brimming with confidence. thanks mike

80 grit is perfect.
Use the Turbo as it was made for the restro and rod builders.

Everything else sounds good but with the last coat being a 50/50 mix you will need to use MS or HS none of the others will work with that system.
Barry

I reread.
Change the following.
Since your going to let the single stage set, don't come back with 50/50/.

Do this.
Spray enough color unmixed with clear to cover 1coat maybe two than last coat with 50/50 mix.
Than wet-sand
and shoot one to two coats of clear by itself.
We do this a lot and makes for a lot of work but a look that is unmatched for show.
