which converter?

A big question at this point is what is the power band of your camshaft?
That is a big part of choosing your TC.
Other factors are, what type of tire are you required to run, or allowed to run.
If you are having to run a street tire, or a street legal racing tire, you might want to consider going with a TC that stalls at about 500 RPM below the power band of your camshaft.
If you are able to run super sticky, down and nasty, all out drag tires, then you might want to go with a converter that stalls at about 500 RPM above the bottom of your power curve.

Need Help - Which Torque Converter?

Need some help! I have a 68 camaro, 350 engine (430 hp, 430 torque), th350 transmission, 373 posi rear. I am not sure which torque converter to put in. I was told a 9" converter with 2800 stall but I do not know much about converters. If anyone can help me out or make any suggestions it would be appreciated! Thanks. The car is NOT a daily driver. It is basically a street/strip car.
