MI2600 There used to be a guy on Ebay who sold a tool that had three pins to remove/install those rings. It sure saves using some water pump pliers and gouging the heck of the ring. You might try a search under Tools.

1Fast65Elky yes, i seen them on ebay for 10 bux......what i did i Im a cheap person...i just found a big brass nut (what i had use any type if it fits) that screwed on the ignition. put the switch thru screwed the nut on and worked like a charm. ill go look for the link on ebay and come back to edit it in.

-here ya go ......ignition nut is another term.

66 nova ignition lock ring....

my ignition switch just hangs. where can i get a lock ring that keeps the switch fastened to the dash?
