|gmiller||Bob, if you raise the engine an inch or two, you probably won't have to do anything to the driveline due to the driveshaft angle. You will want to raise the tranny mount just enough to line the driveshaft up. In other words, you want a straight line from the front main engine bearing, through the tranny shaft, through the drive shaft all the way to the rear axle. If you have any other questions, you can e-mail me and I will try to help. I am no expert but I might be able to help.|

I'm replacing my 350trans with a 700r4 and at the same time I want to raise my 305cui motor up an inch or so. It sits so low in the frame that I can not run a fan blade. The fan would hit the lower raiderator hose. I an runing two electric fans and still over heat in stop and go traffic.
My question is,if I raise the motor mounts and trans mount what will happen to the angle at the rearend?
As you can tell I didn't build the car(39 Chevy 5W coupe),But I am wanting to chance a couple of things to sute my taste.
I am open to any help you can give me.
