Rear End Advice Needed

Building a replica of a race I I enjoyed as a child (it was a 37 Chevy coupe; I'm working with a '38). The car I have is stock and all I have at rear is a housing and axles. I need to bolt up another assembly.

Given that I'll be running a tweaked 250 six, a three-speed transmission and will probably only drive this car from a trailer to a show area, (probably won't even bother with rear brakes), what's the consensus on what rear end I should bolt up. I'd like to keep the stock rear suspension.
