|home brew||Welcome to the site acedrummer. As a youngster I remember listening to that song on our Marconi radio. I also remember seeing the car in the rod mags. As for the rat rodders and their Kulture I recently saw somebody call those supposed "ol skool rods" ART CARS. Nuff said.|

Charlie was an original. The kids who claim to know what "Traditional" is all about could learn something from him. I don't think any of the hot rodders that were around when "Hot Rod Lincoln" came out would even ride in some of the crap these so called Rat Rodders are building now.
Here's a real TRADITIONAL HOT ROD!

I had forgotten about that song, my favorite as a kid
As a kid in the early 50's I loved that song. That song along with my father being a mechanic started my lifelong affair with the hot rod automobile, (age 10) I never knew that there really was that car or the history of the song. Let me start digging, I may still have the old 78RPM record in a box somewhere.

Hello Hot Rod Fans
My name is Karl Bingle. I have been priveleged to work with the Original Hot Rod Lincoln man himself, Charlie Ryan for the past several years as producer, drummer and friend. I would like to get some feedback from hot rod enthusiasts about the Hot Rod Lincoln itself. As you may or may not realize, it is one of a kind. The song spoke about this vehicle but it was not fictitious, it exists! Charlie is truly a legend and I'd love to see him receive the proper recognition from the hot rod community while he is still with us (he'll be turning 90 soon). Please feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and check out Charlie's story at www.hot-rod-lincoln.com. Let me know what you think. I keep seeing all of these TV shows about hot rods and none of them seem to realize where it all started. Charlie is the King, he started it all and his song "Hot Rod Lincoln" will always be the anthem. Thank you in advance!
