I have a 5hp Eaton 2-stage that "chirps" every
once in a while, I found one of the continuous run valves
sticking so I cleaned and lubed it, and it almost
went away completely. But still there a little.
Anyone here had one do that?
Yea, the belt was my first suspiscion. I've ruled that out.
It has something to do with the valve, like I said, when I
cleaned it the chirp all but went away, before it used to do
it all the time. But it's gradually coming back.
I suspectthe unloader valve is seating properly, in the
continuous run mode it never chirps.
It is probably something minor but it should not be ignored. You could check with Eaton, their service is great to say the least and they do back their products.
