ptcamaro Bary, maybe they were trying to hide the bad paint job with extensive lighting. LOL
I hope press will give your company a boost with SPI name mentioned.

I'm not giving away all my secrets but the trick is buy the best nap roller they have.
The roller is not the place to try and save a buck!

lowROLLERchevy that black carpet under the car does nothing for the photo quality, why not just turn off all the lights while they are at it ? lol

but i must say, amazing paint job

kenseth17 House paint, must of been one of the kids taking mechanics at the tech school I went to, they loved to brush paint thier cars with the stuff.
Looks really good from what I can see.
Is that the rayflex paint you can buy on ebay on there? LOL
Anyone who has been read the board for awhile knows what paint really was used.
I think there may have been a thread on how to photograph your car on the board at one time, may want to have those professional photographers read that one.
New poll, how hard is it to shoot a photo.

a69446b You got that finish from Glidden and a roller?????

You know! dont laugh
I once bought a 76 eldo convert that someone had painted with white house paint( flat). Drove it home for $500. Had it painted and did an interior from a Barritz and it turned out to be a real nice car( traded it for a cc dually a few years later)

I think its call job security.

I watched these guys when they came to do the Camaro.
For two hours they set up lights and moved lights 2 inches this way and that way.
I'm thinking lets pull the car outside and take 50 pictures in five minutes and go home.

They must prove that you cannot just snap a picture or anyone could do their job.

I sure am glad I worked for over six months to make a black/black base.
You can almost tell its black?

adtkart It does look good, but sure wish ther was better lighting.

No this car is owned by Bud the producer of Overhaulin and the Rides show
and built from ground up by Yearone.
All I did was shoot paint.

Rusty, you bring that Stang out again and get more famous just don't forget all us little people!

rusty428cj My car is a red white and blue 1969 Mustang that I raced in SS/GA and held the NHRA record in 1971 and 1974. I restored it last year using SPI primers and clear and painted it the way it was in the 70's. It is on the SPI web site.
