Sizing the front coli spring

I have a 1939 Ford PU and I am running a351W with AOD tranny. I used a Mustang II front end conversion (Fatman). The ride on the truck seems like it is "draging" a bit. I think the problem is in the shocks and/or front coil springs. Is there a way to size the coil springs and shacks so I know it is the proper size to carry the load and still make a good driver? Any information would be helpful
Thanks

explain "dragging"

Are your lower control arms level?

Thanks for your reply.

I am not sure what exactly I mean by dragging. The truck fells like it is bottoming out and on a smooth road it does not feel like the front end is solid. When I accelerate it doesn't seem to lift like I would expect. As near as I can tell the bottom control arms are level. I probably haven't been too helpful here, but the front end just doesn't feel comfortable

Thanks again
