Hi guys, I tried to check into previous questions with my problem but came up with a blank. Maybe I just didn't go far enough. I have a set of black vinyl seats that have faded to look like a dark blue/gray. Would love to give them a refreshed look with some dye/glaze, spray, etc. but have not located a company to buy materials. If anyone out there has an idea I would appreciate it along with some do's or don'ts in this area. Are there any materials out there that would be successful in updating my seats? Thanks in advance. Joe
Welcome to the Hotrodders Bulletin Board, enjoy the site. :welcome: MarHyde vinyl spray coating. You can get it at most any store that sells body shop supplies, paint, etc. It comes in many colors, it is in a rattle can. They have a vinyl prep that you use first then spray the color that you want. It remains flexible and will flex with your vinyl without cracking. Please post your questions in the proper forums, this forum is for introductions.
thanks henry for the reply. I will try to pick up some in a rattle can. I wanted to use the existing seats for a while before putting money out for a new set of custom seats. I am trying to get this car on the road after much cutting out old panels and welding new in. The car I am working on is a 46 ford coupe. It started out about 3 steps away from the crusher and I have spent many hour putting new rocker boxes, new trunk and floor pans. Thanks again for the info. Joe
