Given the opportunity to view one side done correctly would have made this project too easy. One of the "old timers" removed the adjusters just like the ones in the old days. Thanks for your insight.

On on the hardware I bought to put in my car, there is a piece of wire (similar to #9 wire) that is bent. I have seen them used before but I don't remember where it goes, can you help. I think I can get the rest with that information. Thanks

As a moderator here, I would like to WELCOME YOU here..
This is a Ford backing plate with the self adjusters........not a Pontiac but they are basically the same.........and should get you started in the right direction.

1967 Pontiac GTO brakes
Does anyone have an illustration on how the rear brakes are assembled? I had none of the adjuster hardware on my car when I got it.
