cameano thats what i was hoping to hear. I was looking at the TCI's on jegs and just was wondering. So i dont have to worry about putting it behind a motor with a higher hp than it is listed for.

Crosley you must be unaware of a T-400 strength.

The t-400 with very little work will support a 600 hp motor and good traction.

Proper clutch pack set up , bushings and basic rebuild technique's are all that is needed.

I ran 850 hp ( dyno verified) through a t-400 in the early 1980's. 13 inch slicks on the car , 9 inch Ford diff with 4.86 gears

TCI turbo 400

Was looking at the tci turbo 400. It says the 700 dollar one is rated to 450 hp.

But i read a thread on here talking about how company's ratings of their trans are rarely accurate for a number of reasons.

so who on here has one of these pieces? what kinda motor setup, and do you like it?

what if, say, I put it behind a 475 hp motor? 500 horsepower? is it cool or would i need to modify it? would the modifications cost as much or more than buying the superstreet fighter?
