high rpm hp combo
this is going in a 68 el camino with 4.11 gears, th400 and torque converter somewhere around 3000. no fat tires or anything crazy just a street car that revs high and i'm willing to sacrifice torque for hp as long as it is still somewhat streetable.
my rotating assembly should be at my door step soon, it is an eagle 383 stroker kit. 5140 SIR rods, cast steel crank, and hypertective flat top pistons. said 10.9:1 compression with 64 cc heads.
i read that the SIR I beam rods are good to 500 horsepower so im gonna keep it under that.
Trick Flow seems to have a good deal with their top end kits. besides gaskets, bolts and other hardware being thrown in almost for free, the price seems alright and i the hp/torque charts are appealing. it comes with aluminum heads with 62 cc. combustion chambers, 195 cc intake runners. it also comes with a trick flow cam (hydraulic roller tappet) with 308/316 duration and .558/.558 lift. plus 1.5 ratio roller rockers
im thinking standard holley 750.
on summit they said it makes 445 hp on a 350 using an rpm air-gap manifold, so i'll probably use that. what do you guys think about the torker II manifold, though?
