Thanks for the help, i got the driveshaft off
now its just removing the tranny which, i'll
probably do this weekend.

WAIT!!! There's a driveshaft support bearing that has to be unbolted first. Look at your car's frame. It looks like a big X. Look at the middle of the big X, and see the two bolts on the bottom. Unbolt them, and then you can slide the 2-piece driveshaft, complete with support bearing, out toward the rear.
This is true for '58-'64 Chevy passenger cars.

|Centerline||Generally all you have to do is remove the four bolts and nuts from the rear end yoke and push the driveshaft forward about an inch to remove it. I'm not familiar with your year Chevy but if it has a one piece driveshaft that's how you do it. If it has a two piece shaft with a center "U" joint you may have to remove the center "U" joint mount to get the shaft out.|

How do i take off my driveshaft??
I had a question about how to take off a driveshaft
on a 1963 Impala 4dr sedan. If anyone could help
me throught it...i would greatly appreciated....
Im planning on dropping my tranny to get it rebuild,
but can't seem to disengage the front yoke from the
tranny, is there bolts holding it in or springs i need to
take off..Also whats the easiest way to drop the tranny.
Thanks for any info you can provide...
Also tranny is a powerglide if it makes a difference.
