OK here is my situation. Please be patient I have a rather long mess of ???'s. I have a Nomad with a 283 and a spent TH350. I just got ahold of a TH350C. I'd like to rebuild it myself (never did this before but want to learn). Will this tranny be an OK set up with my 283? Should I leave the lockup connections un-wired or wire them and use the features of a TH350C? If I do wire this up, where do the two wires go? I think one is wired to 12V constant. Don't know about the other. I have also heard that I should add a vacuum switch to turn off the lockup?
One more, are these any harder to rebuild than a standard TH350?
check for a threaded stud with nut near the cooler lines. It sticks out from the case in that area..... IF there is a stud it is a 250c.
NO stud indicates a t-350c.
have fun.
