When I blocked my rear quarters, I used a 16 1/2" sanding block (40 grit) to get the rough shape.
Now that I am switching to finer grits, I switched blocks to a 16 1/2" durablock assuming that it will flex with the contour shapes and not cut into the panel when I don't want it to.
What do you think, is this a good strategy or not? The durablock does not flex a lot. I am guide coating with the fills as well.
The only mistake I made so far was thinning the rage with unwaxed resin. Not a good idea, as it gathers on the sandpaper and clogs it.
