|ChevelleSS_LS6||old trucks= inexpensive, make great parts chasers. Sure mine's a 96 but it's a six shooter and when I ran it without the exhaust attatched sounds like a tractor at idle, and an angry one at anything over 2000rpm.|

If you are new at this I would reccomend that you work with the one in the best condition body wise and just concentrate on getting it driveable..You will learn a lot from doing that..the other one can be tucked away until the first one is done..
One can spend as little as one wants or a whole lot on a tri-5 chev..
Any more questions that you have ask away and we will try and help you..
OOPs did not know these were trucks but it still applies..I have seen some really nicely done trucks of that vintage that were made into nice drivers and well recieved by the guys that know..

What to do
Close but no cigar. I am looking at trucks, step side not super sport. Still can use the input though. Thanks

|matt167||Chevy never made a supersport until the 60's. '55's are more popular to hotrodders, '57's, more popular to collectors. '55 would have a 265 V8 or a 235 6cyl originally, a '57 would have the 235 6, or a 283 V8. original tri 5 frames work best.|

What to do
I am new at this and I am not fast at this. I don't want to be fast either.
I currently own a 1957 chevy ss without an engine and a 1955 chevy ss
with engine, may even run I don't know as of yet. Wich one would be the best to restore. I have been told to put the body on a chevy s10 frame also,is this true.
