edcroozer The best advise here is to got to a boneyard with your tape measure and shop for the right seat. You will be amazed at what is out there and it will get your creative juices flowing. As far as a steering column goes, check out Ididit. They are very affordable and ready to paint. Good Quality piece. Old columns are just not worth all the effort it takes to make it right.

seats for 29 ford roadster

I have a 29 ford roadster that I am working on to be a driver. I would like to stay true to the vintage roadsters but on a budget, much like the originals. I need some suggestions for seats. I would prefer a bench seat and need the seats to be even with the profile of the car. Just no high back bucket seats. I need something easy to find from a late model car or truck. Also, from what late model vehicle would make a good steering column? Thanks for any help!
