I figgured it out....

I just got through replacing all the front suspension in my vette...the last project was replacing all the bushings with urethane... I used a press to remove the old rubber bushings out of my upper control arms. I used the same press to press the new ones in. The first control arm I did I noticed the bushings were not going in, but the control arm was bending just a tiny bit where the bushings go in. I immediately stopped using the press and went to a vise and some big sockets That worked like a champ... I got everything back together no problems I noticed the control arm I used in the press has about an 1/8 inch of forward and aft play when I turn the wheels lock to lock I must have tweeked the control arm just a little in the press.
My question is. Does anyone know if I can....untweek it? Im assuming I just bent the ears (where the bushings go in) a little closer together.
Id like some input...to see if this is do-able before I spend 300.00 on new control arms ...cause ya know you cant have a new one on the left and an old one on the right...lol.....ahhh live and learn
