It sounds like a Muncie 4 speed. The stamped number is the one you want to i. d. it. I think i found the i.d for mine at a Muncie site. Try it.

its a four speed manual, at least thats what the guy said anyways

i need some part id help
i got a free tranny today, the guy said the reverse gear was out, but hey you can't beat free. anyways i got some numbers off of it and i want to see if any of you guys could help me out.
one one side, it says GM6 338955 and off so one side it says H?24(can't make out the second number)
on another side of the tranny it says 8261886
