there's a 32 project that I'm considering buying. I'd like to know what to offer, what's a good deal, or what would be too much.

Here's the parts run down:

P&J 32 chassis - straight axle/4 link
Ford 9"
4W discs - all plumbed
Heritage body W/ two firewalls - no fenders
Lokar shifter
Hard top
windshield frame & glass
headlights
SS Grille
gauges/steering wheel
32 gas tank & rails
trim parts
cheap wheels/tires
chrome hair pins
walker radiator W/ fan
Headers w/ side exhausts

What it needs:
Motor/trans/driveshaft
interior
paint
assembly

I'm not going to guess at a value - my concerns would be the Heritage body. Some of them are OK and some are not OK in that they need a LOT of work. Take a real good look at body trueness, especially at the cowl, high and low areas, door and trunk lid fits and how well the reinforcing plywood has been installed. The rest of the items, they are probably going to be fine or can be upgraded easily if not to your satisfaction. The P&J frame is usually a good one, especially if they used ASC rails, their usual standard, instead of a welded up 3 or 4 piece assembly.

Heritage body not withstanding (I'm not familiar with them) but when you add in all the rest of the stuff you're probably in the $20K area just as it sits.

I have practically the same pile of parts in my garage (P&J front and rear suspension, Ford 9", American Stamping rails, Speedway Motors crossmember kit, Deuce gas tank, Dave Korrey Deuce 3 window body {which is currently going for $6240}, grill shell, power windows, polished stainless steering column, LaCarra leather banjo steering wheel, SW Wings gauges, etc.) and when you total the cost off all that stuff it's right around $20K in today's dollars. I didn't pay that much because I've been collecting these parts for the last 10 years..... but if you bought it all today that's about what you'd pay.
