chrismac warning you may loose sleep and ever more aggrevation if you did what i did. Do not try to use the shorty headers with angle plug heads. I have invested 1200$ in heads and headers and still can't drive the truck. Its a fairly easy swap, only like 12 bolts to remove the whole front clip. "I think." When i had standard heads it was a great ride, when i tore up the tranny, i upgraded the motor and now its just a headache.

Last one I did I had to move the column, not really that much trouble. If you
look at the stock steering column it is installed kinda lopsided from the factory. Moving it just straightens it abit I have a 1985 S10 shortbed
with a 350 with 700r4 out of a caprice classic police car Puppy
will fly. I'm in the process of doing a rear for it . Stock one didn't last long.
Biggest problem was cross connecting the electrical systems TBI in a 4 cylinder truck I removed the front clip to install the engine an transmission. Made the Job easier I think. I replaced both fenders while I was at it along with the core support.

they have aftermarket motor mounts that eliminate that now. they move the engine more to the passenger side.

scapegoat I just took the radiator support off. But I have done it with motor and tranny together with just the hood off with the front end all intact.

C.W It is easier to pull the front clip. Also you will need to pound the lip where the floor pan meets the firewall and if using shorty headers probly need to reshape the firewall behind the passenger collector. A th350 with a 9" tail is usually a direct fit for drive shaft and crossmember. You may need to elongate the mount hole in the trans crossmember. Checkout www.v8s10.org

Ohio-Dan You can bolt the trans to the motor and go in as a one piece unit, while the front clip is intact. The small block S-10 swap is one of the easiest swaps ever. Dan
