I am starting to bolt together my 66 Impala. I thought I had all the bolts bagged and labeled, but somehow managed to miss a few. I haven't looked at these parts for 7 years, and am having a few troubles. I bought an assembly manual, but it only gives me part numbers, not bolt sizes.
Does anyone know of a cross referance chart or anything to help out with this?
I am looking for something like: 3846202= 5/16" - 18 x 7/8
I posted this in the wrong area. I am trying to reassemble all body panels, brackets, items on the firewall, radiator support and interior....I have the suspension and steering completed.
NAPA stocks both the bolts and the nuts in their Balkamp Body Hardware product line. There is a thin, red, catalog that includes pictures and measurements ... designed to be hung on the wall above the display, similar-looking to a wall calendar.
NapaOnline.com USED to have a cross-reference from competitive / OEM part numbers. It looks like they have done some "site improvements" ... and that feature appears to have vanished.
I have an account at NAPA Prolink (Canada) which still has the c/ref feature ... but the p/n that you quoted doesn't seem to cross over. :smash:
I just checked another idea ... Au-ve-co has an on-line catalog that CAN cross your part number!
Click on the "On-line catalog / Ordering" link, and then enter "browse" as both the username and password.
In the window that opens up, under the word "Search" select "OEM #" from the drop-down box. Enter "3846202" in the text box and click "Go".
Voila! Auveco #15783 appears, along with a description of the size!
They don't have a "use with #____" for the nuts to go with them, but I have a hunch that these are what you are looking for: Page 108
Wow! Thank you for the help. That page is extremely helpful. I've been away from the computer so this is the first I've been able to check up on things, so sorry for the slow response.
