Not to toss any cold water on the enthusiasm or anything, but that thing has too many tires under it (I noticed one of them didn't even touch the ground!), no visible engine, no seats and no way to open the doors with that strap in the way. And what's up with that long platform between the body and the tires?

I'm sorry, but it would be 'way easier to just get on craigslist and buy a nice Subaru or Pinto that's ready to drive.

:D Luck to you! Keep us updated, please.

It's a Dennis Taylor body.New body. The guy that was building it,Had it all together,And one day his garage door opener caught fire, And dripped on the roof of the car, :drunk: And set it on fire.Burnt a hole in the roof,Easy fix...He paid $12,000.00 to get a new body to replace it.I paid $1,600.00 for it. :D Boy did I grab it really fast. :mwink:

Did you notice the wheelbase? The front tires are almost touching the rear ones!

That wood must be somebody's attempt to deal with the hurricane surges Louisiana's notorious for. It's just crazy.

5 hours away is still too close for comfort. NEW INTERIORS should ship it here to Kentucky. I will sacrifice a place out behind the barn for it, so nobody will suffer nightmares from seeing such a thing.

See? It's already ruined one man's mind -- whoever heard of a $10,400 hole in the roof?!?

Think of the children. It's nothing less than my duty to save them from suffering the same awful fate.

I'll put on my torch goggles to protect mind and eyes and try to perform a body-ectomy on the monster. There may be hope of separating the Willys from that unclassy chassis. Probably take a few years. Then I'll need to keep it under close observation for a few more years to make sure the thing doesn't grow back. I promise to test it with various engines to be certain there are no rejection problems. Yup. It's the only sensible way to save the patient.

NEW INTERIORS, please give me a half-hour's notice before you deliver the critter. I want to make sure all my neighbors have their kids safely stashed away when it rolls by.

Them are some :boxing: words! That's almost blasphemy!

All jokes aside, steal of a deal I'm jealous. I'm sure you will build it into a awesome shrine of horsepower. I'm still waiting for all my good karma to pay off like that someday.

Grouch I hope one day my comebacks are as witty as yours, I laughed so hard my cat ran out of the room

I wouldn't put a heavy elephant in that thing. They big, ugly and blow up way to fast(that aught to stir up some moopar guys) :D LOL. I wouldn't put a small block or big block in it either. I would put some wide whites and reverse wheels and flat any color paint. For the motor do a heathy stovebolt 6 with split manifold. A three on the tree for the tranny. And interior wise, some mexican blankets over the seats. JMO Tim
