Sorry one of techinspector1's posts got split out by accident so here is a copy of what he posted. Hey Danny, keep your shirt on buddy. Sometimes I have other things to do, but when I get time, I'm always be pleased to run the DynoSim for you guys.
I'm gonna change some parts around, because foolin' with this toy for a while now, I've developed a feel for what works and what doesn't. I kept your heads, but changed the pistons to KB193. They make the same 9.6 SCR that the others you listed do, but the rings are 5/64" instead of 1/16". Better for a street motor. I also changed the cam to a little tamer model. The one you had listed wouldn't make enough cylinder pressure with the 9.6 SCR.
355 Chevy, 9.60:1 SCR w/KB193 12cc dish pistons
Patriot 195's w/64cc chambers
Performer RPM intake w/750 carb of your choice
CompCams XE274H (This is a flat tappet cam. Personally, I'd use a roller, but with these specs)
274/286, 230/236, 110, .519/.522 w/1.6 rockers, installed 1* retarded.
RPM HP TQ
2000 138 364
2500 177 371
3000 228 399
3500 289 434
4000 348 457
4500 402 470
5000 442 464
5500 470 449
6000 477 418
6500 459 371
Hey, 477/470 from a mild 355 is not to be sneezed at.

helping you fellow hotrodders
Thanks Tech, I appreciate you running that for me. However, I'm not sure if the CR was quite accurate?? KB site has the KB 119's at 9.7:1 w/ a 76cc chamber, Although I'm not sure what the deck height and gasket thickness they use is, but I thought the last time I was on there it said 9.025" and .038". Is about what I have cuz the block has never been decked, although it may very a little from shift it should be pretty close to .025", and I know the gasket was just plain jane Felpro ~.040.
Any way what I'm gettin at is, If their CR's are correct or pretty close, Going to a 68cc chamber should take me close to 10.5- 10.6:1. You said you ran a 9.6 CR, Please correct me if I'm wrong. Not tryin to correct you just tryin to figure out how you got that CR. I know all these dang CR calculator vary so much that its hard to find 2 that are consistent, But I actually had a tech from Brodix calcualate My CR for me when I was contumplating buying the 70cc IK180's, and he told me i'd me right around 10.45:1 with a 70cc chamber/standard gasket/stock deck, so I was just assuming a 68cc chamber would be around 10.5-10.6. That CR would actually work pretty well with my cam on 93 octane.
AND GLEN BOY, FYI, I used to have DD, but my computer got a major virus somehow and I lost everything. When best buy did the reboot they only installed the factory programs so I lost it. If you don't have anything nice to say, can you please find another thread to flap your gums. I only have room for so much ignorance. Now you see there are guys like tech and curtis and a few others that don't mind helping a guy out on here. BTW get your facts straight befoer you start rambling like you know what your talkin about. I SAID THE 350 IS ALREADY BUILT, RUNNING AND IN THE CAR!!!! Its got about 20 passes on it and some street driving, SO i'm not building a 350 and a 400 at the same time... Pay attention JR..

|Henry Highrise||Best thing for you to do is tell all of this to Jon ( send him a PM or e-mail)...he is the owner and site administrator of this site. The moderators here just have to go by the rules and guidelines that Jon gives us. I am a mod for the Basics forum...and I did not move your post over here...the Engine mods did that at Jon's request.|

Well, I know YOU dont know how much my combo will make, but there are several guys on here in the ENGINE area that have desktop dyno software that can produce a ballpark figure. I personally have been in the hotrodding basics "room" and hardly ever do I see any of the guys from the engine section in there.
I have been tuning this combo for like 4 months now and I just now got enough money to purchase a set of heads that I can use with these dome pistons. All of the guys I typically talk to are in the engine area!! I can see how some of the people that come on here asking "how much HP do I have" would get annoying, mainly cause they don't give all the contributing factors, I on the other hand DO and IF I leave something out, its likely that I just forgot to add it. I know my engine top to bottom, and I also know most of the variables that go into the DD software. I have ran it in the past.
No i dont expect exact numbers but I'd say within 10% if not closer... I don't think its fair to just shove our stuff to the side when a lagitimate question has been asked. No wunder I hadn't got a responce from techinspector, He probably thought the same thing I did.... "where'd it go???" golly you could atleast send a guy a PM and let him know you moved his stuff around, I went back 5 pages before I clicked on my name and found out you moved me!!!
Bottom line you run this forum, NOT ME, but I still think its wrong. If I was some new comer on here that didn't know his engine from his rear end, and gave none of the contributing factors that are used on DD, yea, sure shun me aside!!! But im not, I don't no if your pockets are just overflowing with doe or what but mine aren't, If I'm gonna fork over a grand for a set of heads I'd like to have an Idea of how they will perform so I can decide if its worth the money to make the purchase or not... Anyway, you have my oppinion, not that it matters, but I think this was quite rude!!!!!!

Too many variables and we do not have a clue as to how much HP and Torque any particular combo will produce..

Due to the number of "Whats my horsepower" posts recently we are now moving all of these types of post to the "hotrodding basics" forum.
Thank you for your cooperation.

What will my HP and torque be with the patriot heads
Hey guys I an still gonna be getting some new heads for my 355, aside from the 400 I'm building now.
I am pretty set on the 190cc/68cc freedom series CNC bowl blended heads. I was wanting to see if someone could plug in these my motor to a DD with these heads to see how much power thier gonna gain me.
350 +.030 = 355 3970010
forged I beam rods 5.7"
KB119 Hyper dome pistons
Lunati bracket master II 300/300 246/246@.050" 108LSA 515/515 lift
wieand Exelerator single plane 7546 intake
Holley HP VS 750cfm
Patriot freedom series CNC blended 205/160 valves 190cc/68cc
9.025 deck hieght
How would this cam do with NOS
If its not too much trouble please check the HP and TQ with the current heads (stock 339 castings 172/150 valves) so I can see how much I'll gain with the Pats. Thanks Danny
