I'd be the last to disagree with some of the comments made. Especially that it takes some time, money and some skills (or help from those with skills) to build one of these.

On the positive side, I have been having a blast since I started building it. I also know I couldn't afford to do it other ways.

I'm doing it for fun and only fun. I'm about 80% complete. It's taken longer and I have spent more than I planned, but I'm still enjoying it. I've documented the whole build process so far on my web site.

I know all about the history of the company. I know first hand about the quality of the product which in my opinion some of it is very good and some of it is not so good. But much of it is up to what the individual wants.

I have no regrets. If I build another rod I will be taking a different approach next time. But the learning experience this time around has been priceless.

So, if anyone is interested, please feel free to email me or visit my web site.

Joe..

I have the 34 that's on my last picture, with that said, you can find good SB and bad ones. I don't know how much this guy thinks his SB is worth, but to be honest they are worth less than most other 34 glass cars. unless he has done a lot of work on it to get things to look right and not knowing what your car is worth or what shape it is in, I can't really say.

I'm 68 years old and have worked on or built Street Rods since I was 12 years old. when I looked at a body of a SB at a show I thought it was not bad. I did not find out until later that no part from a henry built 34 will fit on it. The grille shell I have on mine took many hours of fitting sanding and work to get to fit.

The reason I tell you this if you get in a wreack you are in for some long hours. My frount fenders are not the ones that came with the car, even though they were one peice, they were not the same and both had to be changed. again I had to pick the right spot to cut the old ones off and put the new ones on.

I would check the body out real close and make sure it's right. I will tell you on thing I don't like on them is the front fenders don't go over the wheels, the opening sits above the tire, to me taking away the Hot Rod look. One other thing the grille insert is missing a bar on each side, so you can tell from a block away it is a SB.

Again if some one took the time and work to change these, I think you can have a nice looking car, but again that's me I'm an old Hot Rodder and I want them to look that way.

If it's a car you like, go for it, there are a lot of first time Street Rodders that have one and like them, I got mine to play with building it, I had never worked with glass so I got it. I work on it awhile then find a steel car to build and push mine in the back, now it is time for the final push on it and get it done.

If you would like some other photos or call me just leave me a PM, and I will get right back to you.

I agree Pete should be a big help for parts and his video's on You Tube are great. Didn't have this type of information when starting to build my 34 Coupe back in '92. Other then that if you can find all of the parts that came with your project and having the owners manual putting that trunk together shouldn't be a problem to anyone with any skills. I built mine with only the book for reference.

34 Ford 3W Streetbeast

Hi all. I just recently inherited a Streetbeast kit form my fathers passing and have heard nothing but bad about them especially since they are no longer in business but i have a question as to where i can acquire some parts or hardware for this car especially for the trunk lid as it is built different from any other real 34 ford trunk and nothing seems to match up part wise on the car however i still feel the need to finish the car more for the sentimental aspect of it for it was his dream car and didnt live to see it completed. Any information would be most helpful and thankyou for taking the time to read this

Here are a couple pics of the trunk latch and striker bolt mounting spots and the bear claw latch is all i have for it at this point that came with it however i have nothing else with it

Striker bolt mounting location on the trunk lid

Again any information helps as I am new to Hot rodding world

Yes, it was me. I knew you were hurting at the time, and I didn't want to bother you. And, speaking of age, I kind of forgot that I asked you for it, too! LOL Golden years! Yeah, right!! Hope you're feeling better and you're on the mend, Bob.
