boothboy That is a Chevy concept. It's the 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne. Joe Bortz has it now.
Someone has "enhanced" the photo. Isn't Corel Draw neat?

and it wont let me pull it back up some one else might with # on the bottom he article list it as a 55 chevy , ,I have never heard of it ,

That is true. It could be special ordered for years after the srandard production models changed to foot shift.

As I understand it, the reason the mouse trap went away was because the Motor Company changed the clutch release in '68 and it was no longer needed. On the old 4 speeds models the clutch release lever was so long they could not make the clutch lever work without it.

boothboy John , were you referring to the "clutch booster" spring mechanism used in conjunction with the hand shift bikes with your mousetrap reference? If so the hand shift option was last offered in 1978.
