|matt167||it will find dead cylinders.. it drops cylinders 1 by 1 until you find the 1 that does not drop the RPM as much... RPM should drop 50 ( IIRC ) for every cylinder as an average. if a cylinder drops less, it is weaker.... the balance testers I have used electronicly killed the cylinders and only used a tach signal and a wire to the coil.. so that tester is quite old... also used a snap on osciliscope that had a power balance test.. it was automatic and had a percent display for each cylinder...|

If I am wrong about the tool, someone please correct me... but the little wires coming off of the "plug wires" I believe are for your canceling.

Cylinder balance tester???
Just picked this up at a tag sale and dont know anything about it, it says at the top Cylinder Balance Tester KENTMORE OPG J-7412 it has 8 spark plug wires coming off of it and 1 wire with an alligator clip, anyone know how to use this?
