I found the key way on my scat crank was not machined to the proper depth so it was necessary to mill a bit off the top of the keys. This can be accomplished with the keys in place.|

What crank keys do I use for SBC crank?
Hello guys I just bought a brand new scat cast steel crank 3.480 crank for a 1 piece rear main seal 350 small block. I bought a set of woodruff keys at advance auto today and I know I need two of them by looking at my crank. I am guessing looking at the crank slots it would take the bigger ones but know the exact size ones to use. It came with the following ones 3/32 by 1/2 inch,1/8 by 1/2 inch, 5/32 by 5/8 inch, 1/8 by 3/4 of an inch, and the last one3/16 by 3/4 of an inch. Also how do I install them cause I have never done one before. Do I just tap them in with a rubber mallet very gently or do they just kind of sit in there a little snug but not too tight?
