So I have measured out the clearance on my vortec heads using the type seals shown below and have come up with this.
The intake valves have 18/32's or .5625" travel before the retainer will hit the seal.
The exhaust valves have 16/32's or .500" travel before the retainer will hit the seal.
I have read somewhere that these seals cannot be ran on these heads without machining the guide boss. Is this true?
And if I can use these type seals will I have sufficient enough clearance to run an XE262 cam which gives .462/.469 lift.
