welcome to the Forum how much is the front end coming up? Mine will put you in your seat and lift the front end but not enough to cause problems. Remember more weight = slower car

I just finished an 84 fiero v8 its a wild ride,i didnt have any problems with the Archie kit.As a matter of fact i'm planning on doing another one for my son everybody needs a hot rod.I picked up an 86 gt in Kentucky it's an automatic also. The only thing i dont like it's a little lite in the front i'm thinking about filling the spare tire with water it's just a spare don't need it but to get to tire store, and at 8# a gallon that will add some weight and maybe keep the front down.I have a 69 camaro,a 23 t-bucket with vette drive train,a v8 s10,a66 c10 supercharged short bed, and the fiero v8 is top dog driving it,it drives like a go-cart.If you are thinking about a hot rod and don't mind a little work the fiero is a blast. Thank God for all your toys and keep HotRoddin.

Capt Fiero WOW, I didn't expect to find a bunch of familiar names on here. Nice to see there are so many Fiero Nuts on here. I found this place looking for people more interested in engines and "Rat Rod" style cars, than PFF's more body mod style. Nice to see ya Jake, haven't talked to ya in a while, hows the head treating ya.

Now to the original poster. We have several guys in the local club that have done stuff with Archie, it seems like he is a good guy, that genuinely wants to make his customers happy but when something goes wrong with his parts supply, he kinda turns his back to the problem and goes on to something else and just sits back and waits. A local speed shop here was doing a ZZ383 6spd combo into an 86 Fiero / Ferrari 308 replica. It did take several months of getting parts, shipping it back, getting different parts before it was all said and done. The engine was a brand new crate motor from GM. However on the flip side, another guy ordered a master kit for a generic SBC, damn I can't remember the name of the motor. What came in the 89 ish Trans am / Corvettes, not LTI or LS1 350tpi motor. The order was made, a week later everything showed up as promised.

Its seems like he has not the specialty parts supplies down to a science yet. I think thats why you see such the wide spacing on opinions.

Now me personally, I have spoke to him before regarding a legal matter about a SOB that copied his kit and tried to sell it locally. However I have not ever done business with him. Our SBC Fiero came pre built with a 1 off conversion kit. I have a Zumalt V8 kit sitting in a large storage bin, and my 4.9 5spd V8 obviously did not require a kit.

classicautoresto File a complaint with the BBB and get a lawyer if your are not satisfied and he won't take care of you. If that doesn't work for you....... Jerry

good point Jake....and you being an established member here have much more credibility with us than a person that just joins to say that. Not saying that these guys didn't have problems with the v8archie company, but they shouldn't start getting personal about it........To me, it just destroys their whole case in my mind anyways.

Oreif My V8Archie conversion was completed in 2004. I have had no problems at all with parts or service.

Jake_Dragon I have made several purchase from Archie and have no complaints. My V8 kit was used and he has still supported me and gave me advice when I removed the drive train from the car it was in and installed it in my GT. The body panels I purchased came in as described and he accepted my feed back with a positive attitude.

If you didn't receive all of your parts then why are you whining about it here and not dealing with Archie?

I sent Archie a message and pointed him to this thread. We can wait and see if he can answer your questions.

poncho62 However..............We will not put up with post after post of running a company down.....The "Company Reviews" section is the place to lodge a complaint, or a thumbs up.........That should get the message across.

Rob Keller OK We have seen this type of behavior before.

You are not beat.
that is if you really want to get even.

You have the Internet @ your finger tips.
Now your @ the #1 Hot rodding site on the web.

Welcome to HOTRODDERS.COM

Now you can {after 20 posts} post a Company review to warn others of the shady dealing that this guy is doing

#2 you can write a WIKI article on this subject .

THEN you can call up or write or e mail your thief & make him aware that negative advertisement on the Internet is a very aggressive tool & it would be in his best interest to right the wrongs.

If you calm down & think things thru clearly things can be worked out most of the time.

wdman yep, my mistake by trusting in him, theres nothing i can do now even if i try to have them get my money back, the packages were comming 1 box at a time at first and although i wasn't really happy, i was recieving something then they stopped half way through the kit and by that time i was screwed & he knew that i just didn't realize it till it was to late. so what do you do then you can't call and scream at the dude or he wouldn't send you anything else so i thought i was doing the correct thing by being a civilized person and giving him a chance in the end he still screwed me by sending me the final parts but they were all messed up. maybe i could have or still can get the CC company involved but the laywer i talked to says it would be hopeless for me to proceed with any type of legal action with him or the cc company because the transaction is done and paid for and being an online transaction it is his word against mine and both the court and CC company would dismiss the situation and i would be no where but out of more time and money. this guy knew that he was going to rob me in the begining, i didn't. i'm hopeing no one else gets taken by him.

Then you should contact your credit card company about it! Since you paid for parts and haven't recieved them, that should have been your first course of action months ago....once you saw a pattern forming with him!

wdman i also rebuilt my motor in the time it took for him to get my kit to me and that is with my pistons being on back order for 3 weeks then waiting 4 weeks to get the block into the machine shop and waiting another 2 weeks for that to complete. i ordered the kit at the begining of aug 08 and didn't recieve the "final box" till mid jan '09 and then not all the parts were sent according the quote he gave me or corosponding to what is on his site
