I have both the Imperial Eastman kit and the strap on master kit and The snap on kit wins hand down until you have to use it under the car. The imperial kit is really handy in tight places. I have it from my refrigeration repair days. I recently bought the snap on kit when I moved to Georgia and could not find squat for 6 months. The practice advise is good also. I still mess some up some times. I also bought the 3 tube strap on tubing bender. The radius is perfect for duplicating the COILS that you typically see between the master cyl and proportioning valve. It will also work on the metric tubing pretty good.

I keep wondering about these. I looked up rigid -- is the 345 the right one?
Some of the sites list them under plumbing, and those places only talk about 45 degree flares.
Does anyone have an opinion about KD or Craftsman?

I think it needs to be said, we are talking about a brake flaring tool. That would be a flaring tool that does double flares as required for brake work.

i used one to do the gas line and brake line on my
53 chevy i got it from auto-zone for 32.00 it did good
for what i needed but you do need to practice man
i sure messed up a lot of line

for $139, it better be good..lol But this is coming from me, who is used to working with his $29 dollar one...
I personally haven't used the snap on version, but most of their stuff is top notch, so probably a safe buy..I still think you could get one alot cheaper..

I used the one that I picked up at Orielly's..It does a pretty good job..But I would recommend doing some practice runs first...It takes a bit of practice..

I use one one I got at a "real" auto parts store, not a retail outlet for spoilers for Hondas. I think it is made by Lisle.
Get some spare or scrap brake line, and practice making flares, before you work on a critical line. You can also buy several premade brake lines, that are too long, and cut one end to length. Use the short ends for practice.
Buy extra flare nuts, and maybe an extra coupler or two.

Does anyone have a recommended Brake Flaring Kit they have used?
I don't want to be stuck with a cheap on that doesn't work. Nothing more frustrating than bending and then messing up a flare.
Any advice would be great.
