I have a set of trw L2300 forged pistons .030 over bore. Anyone have any idea the compression specs? With closed chamber headsnor open chamber?

We need WAY more info; unless you expect us to do a search for what those pistons fit (BBC?), guess on your stroke, and then give you a range of what the compression might be for all of the 30 or so possible chamber volumes, you gotta give us a LOT more info. Right now the best answer we can give you is somewhere between 6:1 and 15:1

What stroke, what engine, which heads...

Factory they were listed at 10.25:1 in stock configuration. I think they had 104cc heads on most of those engines. They have a 16.8cc dome on them. I have a new set lying out in the shop, just a stock Forged replacement piston from the 385-400hp engines back then. Came in everything from 4 door cars to Corvettes with 3 two barrels.

With a 119cc head (open chamber) you would probably be in the 8.8:1 ratio with a .005 DCV, .040 gasket. Zero DCV would put you at about 8.9:1.
