hi i am looking for schematik tig-welder

Hello.thank you for answer.i would be pleased made homemade tig-welder.actualy i have simple homemade ac/dc welder as power sourse i am used 220 volts.i have not any remote control for welder.what can i do to built a homemade tig-welder ?thank you.

oldschoolrods Hello. It can be done and will work but generally it doesn't work real great. You didn't specify what power source you have so here are a few things to consider. You're going to need a high frequency unit if you plan on doing aluminum, (and to make your life easier on steel) but if your machine doesn't have a provision for a remote that is going to make aluminum almost impossible. If you just want to set it up for steel, all you really need is a Torch with a manual gas valve, and a bottle of Pure Argon, and the proper connectors. You would have to do a scratch start, but it would work just not the greatest. If you could please post what kind of machine you have, I can probably help you out better. Hope that helps.
